Twitch is a live streaming platform focused on gaming. As a platform, Twitch seeks to build out more unity and interaction among enthusiastic online gamers. It takes the idea of engaging in multiplayer games to the next level, giving outside users a chance to observe their live streams in real time. Gamers play while commenting live, and viewers can drop comments in the chat box while they watch.
Brief
Koko were approached by Twitch, after a string of successful campaigns that enabled the streamer chat to engage with content and play games as a community. They required something exciting and engaging that made the chat community and the streamer feel like they were united in celebration whilst watching various events. True to form, Koko had the perfect solution...
Results
Twitch Waves was born - allowing the chat community to vote for their favourite teams and hashtags. Each vote would then add a Wave Hand to the screen and the more people voted, the more hands would fill the screen until a wave was triggered and the party started! With music, confetti, animations, overlays and various wave styles, Twitch Waves brings the ultimate party! Since it's launch, Koko have created many Twitch Waves that have been used by various streamers and clients such as McDonalds during the World Cup 2022.
